Crazy Daisy Travels respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who we are
Crazy Daisy Travels (“we”, “us”, “our”) publishes independent, first-hand reviews of dog-friendly luxury hotels, flights and destinations across Europe and the United States.
For any privacy question, contact us through our contact page.
What we collect
Information you give us: when you use our contact or trip-planning forms, we collect the details you submit, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message.
Our email list: if you sign up for our emails, we collect your email address and, if you give it, your dog's name. The list is managed through our email provider, MailerLite. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Information collected automatically: like most websites, we collect standard analytics data (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type) through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiries and requests, to operate and improve the website, to understand which content is useful, and to comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with the service providers that help us run the site (for example, our analytics and form providers), and only as needed for those services.
Affiliate and third-party links
Some links on this site are affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure). When you follow one, the destination site, such as an airline, hotel booking partner, or our travel-advisor partner, operates under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.
The Dog Travel App
Our Dog Travel App keeps your dog's profile (name, photo, breed, weight, birthday and your home country), your favourites and your packing checklist on your device only. We never receive any of it.
When you search flights, the airport and city names you type are sent to a travel autocomplete service (Travelpayouts) so it can show matching suggestions. We don't store what you type and it isn't linked to you.
If you use the optional email signup, send a stay report, or report a problem inside the app, what you send is delivered to us through Web3Forms and used only to send you new verified stay alerts, to reply to your report, or to fix the issue. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time through our contact page.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and form data only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s standard settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond within the timeframes the law requires.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it was last revised.
