Tapeworm tablet before you land in Ireland: 24 to 120 hours before arrival
Your dog needs a tapeworm tablet from a vet no less than 24 hours and no more than 5 days (120 hours) before you land. Count back from your arrival time, not your departure. That means a vet appointment where you are now, two or three days before the flight, and the vet writes the product, the date and the exact time into the passport or certificate. Ireland, Northern Ireland, Malta, Finland and Norway are the only places in Europe that ask for this, and Great Britain asks on the way back in. Nowhere else does. Miss the window and the dog is refused.
Every airline caps pets per flight, some at two, and the “72 hours before departure” on their website is a deadline, not a plan. If the pet spots are gone you don't fly with your dog, and the airline usually won't refund you. Add the dog the same day, then confirm it's on the booking in writing.
1 pet-friendly airline flying CDG → DUB
These carriers fly this route non-stop and welcome dogs in the cabin, from flights on sale now plus our own route list. Always confirm your exact flight and date when you book.
Book directly with the airline. A dog can only be added to your booking on the airline’s own site, where they confirm cabin availability, never through a third-party site. Each card links you straight there.

Adding your dog: Add the pet during online booking or in My Bookings the same day. Confirm the pet is on the booking before travel.
About that fee: Air France publishes no pet fee table anywhere. Their own words are that the fee is paid at the airport and varies with the destination. The only figures they do publish are late-booking surcharges: 50 per cent within mainland France and the Caribbean, 25 per cent on international. Everything else on this card comes from travellers' receipts, which is the best evidence there is.
What someone actually paid: €125 on within Europe, September 2026 (Pam, first-hand). Paid this on a European sector, which puts the real intra-Europe number a long way above the 30 euro floor in our old range. One person's receipt, not a quote from the airline.
Don’t leave it late: Adding the pet less than 24 hours before departure costs 25% more on international flights, 50% within metropolitan France and within the Caribbean.
One stop, if the direct flight doesn't suit
Every airline below takes a dog in the cabin on that leg, and each leg has been checked against the same country rules as a direct flight. Two legs means two check-ins and a dog who has to cope with the change, so it’s the fallback, not the first choice. If you leave the airside area at the stop, that country’s entry rules apply to your dog too.
CDG → AMS → DUBKLM Royal Dutch Airlines the whole way, one booking
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flies both legs, so your dog goes on a single booking. Add the pet when you book and check there’s cabin space on both flights.
Note: No pets in cabin in Premium Comfort or Business on an intercontinental route · Book at least 48 hours before departure, and acceptance is not guaranteed
CDG → LUX → DUBLuxair the whole way, one booking
Luxair flies both legs, so your dog goes on a single booking. Add the pet when you book and check there’s cabin space on both flights.
